I am a research psychologist who has been conducting usability studies in the computer
industry since 1996. I have worked both as a team member across entire product development
lifecycles and as a consultant providing one-time review services. Clients
include Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, Starbucks, Zillow, Scholastic, CTB/McGraw-Hill, Apex Learning, PictureIQ, and
Cognetics. I am a member of the Association of Computing Machinery, the
User Experience

Zillow, Apex Learning, and PictureIQ for products targeted to general consumers, teachers, software developers,
IT professionals, and businesspeople. |
| Software products include
company web sites, e-commerce sites, Internet search engines
(including a social user interface search engine),
photo-editing applications, photo-printing applications, encyclopedia applications, and multi-age
games. Hardware products include tablet, keyboard, photo
printer, mouse, and headset. |
| Research activities for these products have included traditional
iterative usability tests, discount usability tests, heuristic reviews, paper

| Kids' products include games, educational skill programs, science
exploration programs, web sites, assessment tools, trackballs, and handheld messaging
devices. |

iterative usability tests, focus group tests, survey research, field studies,
discount usability testing, paper prototype tests, and heuristic reviews.
